What to Expect from MyWinesDirect

In the past we’ve questioned whether there was a reason to join the My Wines Direct wine clubs as the website gave the impression of a fairly generic wine club at a price we couldn’t trust. We’ve reevaluated MyWinesDirect in light of some changes on their site and the many many wine clubs we’ve looked at since then. We think they’re delivering a pretty decent value in an very convenient package. Three-packs, six-packs, and 12-packs are a great way to buy and send wine, either for yourself or as a gift. In particular, they’re extensive selection process is an encouraging sign that they’ll be delivering wines with broad appeal.

How MyWinesDirect Selects Their Wines

1. Finding Wines: The Experts
   Each month, wine buyers tastes hundreds of wines from around the world. Based on taste, characteristics, region, varietal, and value about 25 move on.
2. Tasting Wines: Customers Like You
     Tasting panels made up of customers participate in blind tastings around the country. The wines are sampled in flights, voted on, and only a handful of clear winners advance.
3. Approving Wines: A Top Wine Master
   Finally, our wine master reviews each customer selection to certify taste, varietal and value expectations. Each month, a few of the exciting new winners become MyWinesDirect.com selections.
   
   Then, we drink.
