Metropolitan Vintners Review
Overall Wine Club Rating for Metropolitan Vintners
Last Updated: 10/7/2010
What to Expect from Metropolitan Vintners
The New York City Wine Club, a division of the parent organization Metropolitan Vintners, is the wine club arm of the NYC Wine Report, an established publication focusing on promoting wine stores in New York City (where you can’t buy wine at the grocery store) as well as acting as a sort of general wine promoter in New York City. The best wines from each month’s Wine Report are selected for the New York City Wine Club.
Why we recommend Metropolitan Vintners
Free shipping in most of New York City is a really good start—even though we don’t live in NYC... Additionally we feel their approach to wine selection is appropriate for the average wine consumer who likes wine but doesn’t want to spend their life’s savings on it. The New York City Wine Report says, “By and large our focus is on great wines that are great values. The wines we talk about are the wines you'll want to open at dinner, bring to a party or share with a friend. In other words, bottles you'll most likely consume within a week or two of purchase. But now and then the NYC Wine Report also features pricier gems and age-worthy collectibles to put away and drink in later years.” Their prices rock, too.
Metropolitan Vintners Ships Wine to:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Dist of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

for $3500
per month, plus tax and shipping
(approx. $17.50 per bottle)
With a top-notch selection program and outstanding prices, this two-bottle wine club offers a New York spin on wine to people living around the country.
