A rare wine club focusing only on Syrah. If you are or know a Syrah (or Shiraz) lover, this is a no-brainer decision.
Paso Robles Syrah is typically a big fruity wine that goes best with BBQ, pizza, and Italian food. We love that this wine club is an opportunity to sample many wonderful Paso Robles Syrah wines.
We'd like them to publish what wines they've shipped to customers in the past and we'd like it if the website were more user-friendly.
We have to disclose something here: let’s just say, we love Syrah. Especially Central Coast Syrah. One of the great Rhone varietals (because it originates from the Rhone area in France), it expresses a totally different character when grown in a hot climate like Paso Robles... it’s fruit-forward, big and bold, and makes a great sipping wine or food wine (heavier foods, of course).
That said, we don’t know of any other Syrah-only wine clubs, and certainly this is the only one focusing on Paso Robles Syrah. If the idea of two bottles of red gold showing up every month makes your mouth water, there’s really no reason to hesitate... you’ll love this wine club.
As with all wine clubs offering ongoing subscriptions with shipping and handling costs built in, we wish they wouldn’t. It’s appropriate for pre-paid subscriptions (especially for gifts) but when we’re getting regular wine shipments we’d prefer to know how much of what we’re paying for is wine and how much is shipping and packaging expenses.

This is the perfect choice for those that want two bottles of Syrah delivered each month!
This high-quality red wine gained its place of honor within the hallowed halls of wine sophisticates due to its gigantically huge popularity throughout Europe, originally coming to the world from the renowned wineries of France's Rhone region. Syrah is quite quickly becoming the popular choice and most stubbornly sought wine throughout most of the western world. If having the most votes count, then here's your winner!
Perfectly lively and utterly delicious, one of the most impressive characteristics of this royal purple to deeply crimson treasure is not only the fact that it is one of the few wines that continues to get progressively better with age, but also the greatly extended length of time that can go by without even the slightest hint of degradation to the wine is experienced.
When young, Syrah is deep, dark and brooding, with a brilliant tannins and strong fruity, herbal and mineral flavors abounding, from mixed berries to spice and from honey to pepper. As they slowly mature, they take on characteristics of sweet blackberries, black currants, and plums, with a slight effervescence of wood, musk, tar and sometimes even smoke. My personal favorite, enough said!
