A rare wine club focusing only on Bordeaux wines from France. If you are or know a Bordeaux lover who doesn't love Bordeaux prices, this is a no-brainer decision.
For most American consumers, buying French wine is scary and risky. By joining a Bordeaux wine club you can learn about Bordeaux wines without all of the risk because you know the wine club has picked out excellent wines.
We'd like them to publish what wines they've shipped to customers in the past and we'd like it if the website were more user-friendly.
It’s impossible to dispute the worldwide appeal of wines from Bordeaux. Coastal Vineyards Wine Clubs smartly decided to offer a wine club featuring these often amazing wines and it’s worth noting all of the selections actually come from Bordeaux (as opposed to being Bordeaux-style wines from other regions). The five most common red wine varietals in Bordeaux are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, and Malbec, but most Bordeaux red wines are mostly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with the other varietals added for balance. White Bordeaux wines much less common but include Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. If you’re looking for a Bordeaux wine club, this should definitely be on your list of considerations.
As with all wine clubs offering ongoing subscriptions with shipping and handling costs built in, we wish they wouldn’t. It’s appropriate for pre-paid subscriptions (especially for gifts) but when we’re getting regular wine shipments we’d prefer to know how much of what we’re paying for is wine and how much is shipping and packaging expenses.
