Wine Clubs—Under $30 Per Bottle

Use our wine club ratings to find the best wine clubs where bottles cost less than $30

There are so many wine clubs available today that choosing a monthly wine membership may seem overwhelming. That's why we're here! This curated list of wine clubs features wines that cost less than $30 per bottle. Our ratings system looks at quality-to-price ratio, shipping costs, uniqueness, and custom features. Wherever possible, prices include shipping costs, but rarely include sales tax. Be sure to select the state you're shipping to, as not all wine clubs can ship to all states.

Premium Wine Club
by Cellars Wine Club

Overview: Our most popular Cellars Wine Club, it's like most other 2-bottle per month wine clubs but with a consumer stamp of approval.

What We Love: Cellars Wine Club is a (mostly) green company. They use earth-friendly packaging that is 100% recyclable.

Could Be Better: We'd like a better understanding of how they select their wines. We know some of what they've selected, but not anything about why.

WSJwine Wine Club
by Wall Street Journal Wine

Overview: Great value on many different types of wines from around the world and a consumer-favorite wine club.

What We Love: They have one of the best line-ups of introductory offers for wine clubs we've seen.

Could Be Better: With such unprecedent buying power, we'd love to see better quality wines at these prices.

The Limited Series
by Wine of the Month Club ®

Overview: A unique opportunity to sample hard-to-find, high-end wines at everyday prices. No other premium wine club comes close.

What We Love: We love that Paul streams his wine-tasting sessions live over the Internet so we can see what he's tasting and how much he's rejected.

Could Be Better: No recommendations for improvement here. This wine club sets the bar high as a standard for all other wine clubs.

Discovery Series
by WineTasting.com

Overview: Two-bottle introductory wine club featuring good-quality wines from around the world.

What We Love: This wine club is offered at a good price with great value. Unusual selections at this price range make us happy!

Could Be Better: If this club were offered at other intervals, like bi-monthly or quarterly. An introductory offer would make this club very competitive with others in its price range.

by Plonk Wine Merchants

Overview: Featuring hand-picked, adventurous selections from around the world. Great value and great drinking in every shipment.

What We Love: Industry-leading customer service, no ho-hum selections allowed, always over-delivers on value, and it's a great wine club for foodies.

Could Be Better: As this wine club continues to add more benefits like a satisfaction guarantee, discounts on reorders, partnerships to enhance their wine pairing, and more choices for customization, we only have praise for Plonk.

International Series
by Gold Medal Wine Club

Overview: Exclusive wines from around the world and an Adventure Package of tasty treats and other goodies to take you on a worldwide journey without leaving your living room.

What We Love: It's hard to compare a wine club that includes extra goodies to one that doesn't, because come on, most wine lovers love food, too! The fact that you can't get these wines from any other company in the U.S. doesn't hurt either.

Could Be Better: We don't have any suggestions for what to improve within the International Series wine club. Yay!

The Wine Tour - Kosher
by KosherWine.com

Overview: A kosher wine club is a rare kind of wine club, but we'd recommend KosherWine.com even if there were many more choices.

What We Love: We're happy to see them offering both ongoing subscriptions and pre-paid gift subscriptions, as well as discounts on reorders.

Could Be Better: Like many other wine clubs, we'd like the to tell us which wines they've sent in recent shipments so we can be sure we're getting good value for our wine budget.
